The Makita 18 V LXT® brushless cordless 1/3 sheet finishing sander offers all the power and control of a corded version but without the cord. It offers a 1/16 in orbiting action with faster sanding that is engineered for a swirl-free finish. There are three-speed settings at 4000, 80,000 and 12,000 opm that can be selected through a convenient one-touch speed control, while the battery and motor locations are engineered to reduce flutter for a more evenly finished surface. It can be connected to the Makita Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) utilizing bluetooth for wireless start/stop communication between the sander and an optional dust extractor (sold separately). It's part of Makita's expanding 18 V LXT® system, the world's largest cordless tool system powered by 18 V lithium-ion slide-style batteries.
